How do I find a Democratic Accountant/CPA?
Hi there,
OK, finished doing our taxes this year and I can't take it any more -- I need to find a tax person who's a Democrat. How do I find such a person? I don't mind paying a fair price but I want it to go to someone with whom I have share a philosophical position and doesn't rail against the Democrats while asking me for my W2's. Although our returns are reasonably simple, I'd still rather have someone else do it (baad case of ADD). If it helps, we're in the Chicago area.

Thanks

Paula

1. I don't know if they'd divulge their party affiliation...
It's not good for business, y'know? Best of luck.

2. I would hope not.
But if one did try to discuss politics while doing my taxes, I would drop them and find someone else.

3. Become active in your local Democratic Party. Find out what
people do for a living. This becomes apparent really quickly at the meetings I go to. Good luck!

5. I usually just ask my wife, the Democratic Accountant. :-)
Probably the best advice is what was mentioned earlier, go to a Democratic Meetup event and see what everyone does and if they have come up with a "community phonebook" kind of thing that lists what everyone does if they want referrals.
