or is there a surprising rash of newly registered DU'ers whose sole purpose here lies in bashing Dean or Clark or escalating conflicts between Dean and Clark supporters?

I never much liked the "suspect-the-newbies" threads. Naturally, as the primaries draw closer, more people are going to get involved. That means a lot of people will be directed here.

I think they see the current level of GD04 and use that as their guide to jump in swinging.

But I think the overwhelming majority of them are sincere democrats newly turned onto DU. That's a good thing.

gee's , we all have a right to decide who will best serve our country , and no matter who win the primarys , we have got to get behind the man and give them the vote to get rid of this bunch of crooks in office now , are we better off then we were in 2000 , no , i'm hurting just like a bunch of people in this country , and i will stand tall on election day and make my vote count for the dem on 04

4. I'm new to DU

The Dem on Dem attacks is what nearly put a quick end to my short visit to DU. Its Senseless. I'm shocked at the same level of hate I see on the Repug sites.

The Other DU forums are more fun.

5. It's just newness.

When I joined all of a week ago, and did not realize the pointlessness of it, I too was drawn into some battles.... and, sigh, probably could be again today.

I think many newbies may go through this. It will wear off or at least thin.

But I didn't notice if it was newbies. I just hope we can all rally around the candidate no matter who it is. I had to leave GD 2004 tonight it was so bad .
