Ick. The cats just caught and ate a mouse in the living room.

They were running all over the place, pouncing and cavorting as cats will do. I thought they'd found some favorite toy (they've been stealing my rolled-up socks lately and leaving them by their food bowls), and were having an especially good time playing with it.

But then I noticed that one of the kitties was gnawing on the "toy" with unusual enthusiasm. He'd managed to eat all of the mouse except for the hind legs and tail by the time I discovered what he was munching on.

Bleh.

15. Hey, you should feel lucky!!

Most of the cats my family used to have would simply leave the dead mouse on the floor somewhere. Occasionally one would be half-eaten.

Look at the bright side, it will be dealt with in the litter box and not on the living room carpet.
