I have to go "meet them" and take them to where I work to entertain our patients in the hospital. I told the representative of these clowns that I was afraid of them. She said it would be "fine" they were "nice clowns".

14. Scariest clown experience

We took our boys to one of those school circus's that the PTA puts on. An evil clown was running loose, in the bleachers - oh yeah, he had the big painted on smile, and he had candy that he was passing out. That's how they plan their evilness -- come across as your friend, when they are anything but. Watched a kid dive head first right off the top of the bleachers. No other word to describe -- pure evil.

Kid recovered fine physically, but I'm sure he is suffering from PTSD to this day.

Everything's going great on this end, though I did have to replace a tire today. It went flat and my dad gave me some money, $40 dollars, to get it replaced. The dude at Discount Tire was really kind to help me out.

My mom's kidney is doing great! She had blood work done today and her creatin (sp?) level is 0.8.

I hope you get through this clown thing ok. I'm not fond of them either, to me they are creepy.

Once, I was driving at night, and a car pulled halfway into an intersection and stopped there. I think the driver was trying to make a left turn, but didn't, and got stuck in the intersection after the light had changed. Now usually, I swear like a sailor when driving, but for some reason said "What kind of clowns stop in the middle of an intersection?"

You guessed it. The car was actually full of ... clowns.

okay, it's a little embarrassing

back in college I experimented-well I did a lot of experiments I guess- with psilocybin mushrooms. On halloween one year we did some and went out. It seemed like everyone I saw was dressed like a clown? :shrug: I wasn't fond of clowns before then, but I can remember really looking at them that night and now the heavy makeup, the nose, the concealment of not just identity, but the "feelings" the clown has seems to be the trigger.

I'm sure the sinister portrayal in the media has added to this "creeped" out feeling.
