2. I think Ken Burns did a doc on those folks
Up til that point I didn't know that snow-blindness was real. Wow. Tansom Donner got eaten, I know that. And one of the men that survived by eating some of the other people later opened a restaurant, but I don't know if it did too well. The documentary is great.
