Urgh! Pet peeve!

So I'm playing online poker while occasionally perusing DU, as usual, and somebody at the poker table calls me "duece". Annoys the hell out of me! Look at my seat on the table and it's spelled correctly for you!

Ah shit. It's not even my real name (obviously), but it still annoys the hell out of me.

I can understand being annoyed by that. Inattentiveness bothers me as well. Do you automatically misspell their name in reply? I might have to, but I'm petty like that.

Sadly, I can't do that because I'm such a spelling and grammar nazi. I can't even type "moran" without putting it in quotes or adding (sic). :crazy:

I have a very good friend, who is a writer, BTW...

And he has a terrible time spelling.......

So try to be a little tolerant.....I know it's hard when your name is involved........

I get upset when mine is mispelled too......though I try not to be!
