*AHEM* About "shaving one's head"
Last summer I was completely bald.

My hair was damaged beyond repair, thanks to wearing artificial hair.

Even though I had a head full of hair, I wore braids, mostly out of laziness.

They took a toll on my hair, and my own hair starting coming out in huge clumps.

I had no alternative but to cut it all off. I was completely bald.

It is growing back nicely now, at an accelerated rate. It's hard to imagine, looking at me now, that I had done this.

What I'm getting at is, perhaps Britney's hair was so damaged due to the constant dyes and perms, she had no choice but to take it all off.

Has anyone ever thought of that?

p.s. - I'm NOT a Britney fan. I have absolutely no use for her. But I wanted to throw my own experience out there as something to think about.

1. It's possible...
but if you take a good, long look at her recent behavior (albeit as reported by the paparazzi), it appears to be another step toward some abyss that I don't even want to think about, for her kids' sake.

Hair, or lack thereof, aside -- I worry about her (and I'm no fan, either). She seems to be losing it.

4. I agree with CatWoman that it could just be all a coincidence...
But it's quite the string of coincidences. So I'm not wholly convinced. Not yet.

Until something else makes sense of everything, both recent and past, I have no qualms sticking with my current beliefs - for what little they are worth.

2. Actually, that's one of the things she said last night when someone asked her about it.
It'll grow back.

3. what does this mean?
"mostly out of laziness"?

I go days without brushing my hair after I wash it, so I am very lazy about my hair. I twist it up in a bun and then when I have to wear it down I yank a comb through it for a while. It is a very painful process.

6. Honey, black hair is something to deal with
I can either perm it, press and curl, or go natural.

Any of those options still take a lot of work.

With braids, you don't have to do anything. I mean ANYTHING.

No combing. no brushing. no dryer. no setting. nothing. Just wash n' wear.

11. It is crazy watching someone going through a mental breakdown in public...
its not shaving her head, a lot of people do that, two of my friends did it just because, and they loved it...but she is constantly complaining about the paparazzi, and yet she shaves her head in front of them?? That makes no sense...

That combined with her recent behavior, the fact that she has two young children that she sould be responsible for...magazines and fan are turning against her, she's getting a divorce, and may not be able to revive a career (which is all she has ever known)...

Child stars always seem to have a hard time, but I dont ever remember a breakdown this public...you can see the pain in her eyes...its just really sad...
