I'd like to catch a break. Just one?
What a week. I lost two day's pay due to the snowstorm. I'm using software I don't completely understand and doing returns I *told* him I didn't know how to do. I have no insurance, no sick leave, no vacation. I'm no more than a contractor.

I've been going through EMDR (emdr.org) therapy to try and work through some serious workplace violence incidents from a few years ago. I just found out that I can no longer go to the therapist I've been seeing because I moved out of the county. Let me clarify - I can, if I pay $95/hour. I'm 1/2 way through the therapy and stopping at this critical point is very dangerous. My ability to cope is very, very low right now. Also, the doctor who's been getting me samples of a med (no generic available) that runs $500/month won't see me either. His fee is $195/hour. He's in the same group.

So, I'm floundering again. I apparently didn't get the job I interviewed for last week. If you'd seen me in action, you'd never know anything was going on in my personal life. I hit the mark on every single question and asked many questions of them. I believe that they saw me in order to keep me quiet since the admin screwed up and never called me back.

Sorry if this is confusing. Welcome to my world. I got my car stuck 3 times last night and nearly ended up in the ER because shoveling snow, below zero temps and asthma just don't mix. I don't have anyone else to do it for me.

Things are so fucked up I don't know which way to turn. If we don't get universal health care soon, I'm not sure where I'll be. Dammit. I just want to sit here and cry.

2. Oh, sweetie....
It'll get better. It will. One foot in front of the other and call me if you need to. Call me if you don't. Any time.

I know so many people who are under-employed, laid off, uninsured. We're being buried in our personal lives.

Oh, and the display on my cell phone died. I accidentally called Oeditpus Rex at 5:30 am his time. :scared: Poor guy. He thought the worst. Fortunately for me he's got a sense of humor. ;)

6. At least he took the call well....
Be well lizziegrace. I can only keep repeating the mantra...what doesn't kill you will make you stronger.
I'm off to take a well-deserved nap (shoveled snow for 4 hours today)
Peace...

9. I'd like for you to catch a break too
 A good cry might not hurt.

I do not see universal health coming anytime soon. Right now our state is looking at a plan which was created by the Heritage Foundation which I am sure will be worse than what we have now. The state house also passed a tax cut for corporations and it does not sound like our Democratic Governor will veto it either. Thank goodness we have government of the people, by the people and for the people. Too bad corporations are considered people and Abe left out the word "some" as in for some of the people.

Wait, am I cheering you up here?

I hope a really good job comes through soon. And I hope it comes with insurance that will cover what you need.

11. I am SO sorry.
I know exactly what it's like when EVERYTHING is screwed up - you have my most heartfelt sympathies. I also know what shoveling snow in the cold w/ asthma does to ya --- I'm VERY sorry you have to deal with that too. It's awful.

13. Now that I'm okay, I'll say that
I came very close to collapsing from it. That hasn't happened in over 10 years.

I wish I could be self-employed but I still wouldn't be able to get insurance as a group of 1.
