The beauty of the sun after an ice storm

Oh yes, we have a ton of ice and the streets are crap, however, we have a little sun peeking through the blowing snow, and the world outside is simply amazing and unbelievable beautiful.

Cold as hell, (30 MPH winds gusting to above 40 mph) but glorious

1. I'm up in Delaware County

Level 3 emergency and drifts 2-3 feet high out here where there's nothing to stop it.

It's cold!!

2. Fairfield County here

and it is pretty though

Traffic and the roads? Not so good. We got about 2.5 inches of ice .

3. You got it much worse

we had about 8 inches of snow before we got 6 hours of freezing rain. The top layer of snow is solid and very difficult to break through.

Be safe down there. I hope the power lines hold.

5. I would rather have the snow

we have about 17,000 people county wide that do not have power, and the county EMA just called to say they are opening shelters.

So far in the community I work, it is quiet.

You stay safe too...it is raw and brutal out.

Can you get any pics? I tried when we had a storm down here, but hardly any came out very well.
