31 weeks -- and the babies are still doing well!
Got to spend the day doing doctor stuff today -- first an ultrasound, then a standard "how are things going" exam.

My son is now 3 pounds, 4 ounces, and his sister is 3 pounds 4-1/2 ounces!!! Their heartbeats were 160 and 162 respectively, and they both look like they are doing GREAT!

The best part came when the ultrasound tech did a "3D" picture, and MY DAUGHTER STARTED SMILING!!!

Seriously, she moved her hand out of the way, and SMILED for the ultrasound picture! It also looks like she's got hair already (but he looks like he's bald as a cue ball right now)! IT WAS AMAZING!!!

He didn't pose pretty this time, and frankly, his picture kind of looks like a lemur, but since he did a good picture last month, I'm not too worried.

The doctor's appointment ran long, but everything seems to be going well. My blood pressure is going to be monitored a little closer, and I officially need to quit "pushing" myself (because I've been scrambling to get twenty billion things done in preparation for their arrival, plus we're trying to get my mother's rental properties under control, AND learn everything there is to know about child birth, and did I mention I AM NOT READY YET?), but honestly, everyone is very pleased. I've still got the Hyperemisis Pump (for the "super can't stop puking" problem), but if that is the worst thing that happens, I've got some serious blessings to count.

I'm feeling pretty good, folks. My babies are doing well, and we've only got six to eight weeks to go.....

Did I mention my daughter was SMILING on her ultrasound picture? She's already obviously BRILLIANT! And he is just amazing, too!

:) :) :)

1. OMG! Twins!
:bounce:

I'm a twin-- boy and girl!

We were born at 32 weeks. I was 2 pounds 10 ounces and then dropped to 2-2. My sis was a little over 3 pounds.

That is so cool.

All the best to you!

:hi:
