13. Welcome to DU, mrdemocrat78!
:hi: Good to have you here...and I hope the snow's not too bad where you are! Here in southeastern Virginia, we're not getting anything - well, except for a cold, nasty drizzle of rain. x( Ah well - c'est la vie, I suppose. :)

6. I used to love snow days
My aunt is a teacher in my district and she would call my house if we had a delay or cancellation so whenever I heard that phone ring around 6am it was like music to my ears

7. The STBE just informed me that there will only be a couple
inches of snow, and that it won't start until late afternoon. What the heck? He'd better be wrong because I have completely rearranged my schedule because I'm counting on a snow day.

8. The STBE is fucking with you, I think.
Though maybe not for you northerners. :P

Here in P-Town, it's supposed to start snowing overnight, with an inch or so on the ground by dawn, and then it's supposed to fall like mad for the rest of the day, with white-out conditions from noon till sunset.

:woohoo:

11. Dear WIMR,
I have a feeling you're going to get your wish. If it keeps up, Thursday, too. What are you going to do all day? Whole Foods is suppose to open. You can go see the "humanely" corralled lobsters!

12. It's started here
I only have one class that I teach tomorrow (part time art teacher) so it won't be any big whoop for me if they cancel.

Maybe they have hyped this one up a bit, because it isn't bad at all out -- a light snow falling , that's about it. Then again maybe it will intensify over night.

20. White out conditions don't matter either.
They've installed infrared vision into all bus drivers now. They can see right through the storm!

Seriously.

21. And here in Chiba Japan
it hasn't snowed all winter and the weather guys on TV are all wringing their hands because it hasn't "not snowed" this late in the season since the American Civil War, or something like that.

But hey, I can live with it.

22. The worst may be past here
It's been snowing for over twenty hours, and we have a winter storm warning until 6 AM tomorrow.

I've been watching it fall all day.

I'm retired and I don't have to go anywhere, so I love snow.
