6. I almost cried today

.....after being gone from DU for almost 2 years and coming back just last week, I logged on today to find someone had given me a heart. Hell, I doubt anyone even remembers me here, but someone gave me a heart anyway.

were deficated on while still warm by mouth-breathers on GD.
That's my vision of 'generosity' on DU.

...but when I first got onto the R/T forum, someone took me under her wing, gave me a star, and helped me out quite a bit.
Some people here are quite amazing.
Sadly, it's only some.

When Andy was sick, and then when he died.

Tough times, but most of DU really pulled it together and did what they could for him, and then mourned when that's what was left to do.

Hell, yeah, I cried.

Each and every time John Hopkins would raise the bar and DU'ers would meet the challenge was one of the most humane and generous acts of kindness I had ever been a witness to.
