DU seems bound and determined to be a re-run of "mean girls," which is why i don't donate, since i got all the high school popularity crap i wanted for free back when i was actually in high school

the internet is the one place where even nerds should be equal but there is always someone who wants to make you feel bad for not playing the popularity game

people who play these games of buying and selling hearts should be ashamed of themselves, and most particularly the organizers, but i've learned in this life that some people are not happy unless they are making somebody else feel bad

there is nothing progressive about marking people as popular or unpopular, it is one of the shittiest things one human being can do to another person

I think DU is big enough that individuals don't really get noticed until they've made A LOT of posts OR are major pot-stirrers.
