4. Just another brick in the wall.

We don't need no education
We dont need no thought control
No dark sarcasm in the classroom
Teachers leave them kids alone
Hey! Teachers! Leave them kids alone!

All in all it's just another brick in the wall.
All in all you're just another brick in the wall.

7. Then imagine
being on the back of a horse...

It's called a Puissance class. I think the world record in an official class is 7'9" or 10".

(they're not real bricks, of course)

9. Humans can jump higher
than horses?

I wouldn't have thought so.

10. The official world record
Edited on Sat Feb-10-07 05:55 PM by u4ic
is 8'3, or 2.47 m. For humans, it's 2.45 metres.

Now that's under saddle - I don't know if they've ever done anything similar for free jumping...

However, horses jump very differently from humans - who are much more flexible. A horse 'curling' over a jump is much different than a human doing the same, who can twist and contort in many ways.

Here's a video, if you're interested to watch. http://www.ultimatehorsesite.com/info/worldrecord_jump.html

edit: the official world record wasn't in a FEI class, hence the difference between the puissance record and the world record stated above.
