Global warming threads make me angry
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH

Seriously, if you don't accept that global warming is:
1)real 2)overwhelmingly caused by people

then you are an idiot. Period.

1. Same here....
No one questions that inhaling the toxic fumes from a cigarette damages your lungs but somehow people are willing to believe that dumping tons of toxic chemicals and fumes into the Earth's atmosphere is perfectly safe despite the overwhelming evidence that proves otherwise.

I can understand the motivations from the biggest polluters to say that global warming doesn't exist or that it isn't caused by human actions because it suits their unethical yet profitable practice but why do ordinary citizens of this world buy into such nonsense?

3. At what point will the concentration of CO2 outweigh O2 and we all
suffocate to death despite breathing?

I'm not saying global warming is a steaming pile of cack, but without enough plant life to replenish the oxygen by converting carbon dioxide (photosynthesis is groovy)...

6. the longer they fight it,
the more it's just a case of denial.
A kid on a message board I fight at kept saying he has degrees in like 2 or 3 sciences and that he knows so many "climate scientists" who don't think it's a problem or that people should change in any way. So I got tired of listening and spent a couple of days looking at climate scientists' discussions online, everything I could find was telling the same story. I don't know who that guy's been talking to but they're either lying to him or he's lying to himself and everyone he fights with.
The saddest part of it all is if we can't agree on any ways to change that could make a difference.

7. I believe some people block it out because the problem is so vast.
They are deep denial, but the only way to change our head on collision course with this looming catastrophe is to wake up, maybe that's what Melissa Ethridge's Inconvenient Truth theme song is speaking to.

9. Uncle Joe KNOWS. Many folks can't get their heads wrapped around this.
It's just TOO BIG, and TOO AWFUL to think about.
So they don't.
