Boy Critically Injured After Being Run Over By Childcare Van - Twice
<snip>

A 7-year-old boy was critically injured when he was run over by a day care van outside his school early Thursday, police said.

The second-grader, who was not identified, was coming to school at Oliver Wendell Holmes School, in the 2400 block of N. Buffum St., at 8:30 a.m. when he was hit, said Anne E. Schwartz, department spokeswoman.

The boy, who was with his 14-year-old uncle, was crossing the street when the driver of a van owned by God Chosen Childcare and Development Center backed over him, she said. The 14-year-old knocked on the van and the driver pulled forward, rolling over the 7-year-old boy a second time, Schwartz said.

The boy was taken to Children's Hospital of Wisconsin and was in grave condition with a severe head injury, Schwartz said.

The driver remained under investigation and police were looking into whether she was on a cell phone at the time of the accident, Schwartz said. She has a valid license, Schwartz said.

A woman who answered the phone at God Chosen Childcare on Thursday afternoon said there was no one there who could comment.

1. All these hurt children threads are depressing me.
Time to go home and play with my son. In a nice, safe, secure, undisclosed location. Where hopefully no harm will come to him.

5. What's wrong with 14 year old uncles?
The mother of the 7 year old boy is probably the uncle's older sister or brother. Some uncles are even younger than their nieces and nephews
