Overturned Lawnmower Traps Worker Underwater
<snip>

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. -- Police said a man got stuck under a lawnmower underwater in Coral Springs for a few minutes. He's now in the hospital.

A police spokesman said the unidentified man was operating the mower along the banks of a canal when it somehow plunged into the water. The mower landed on top of the driver, trapping him.

A witness and rescue workers were able to pull him out after several minutes.

The man's condition has not been released.

1. "Somehow plunged into the water"
as he was mowing the banks of a canal? "Somehow?" How bout tipped over because of too steep an angle. My neighbors kid did that last year (not into water) when he was mowing the ditch in front of their house. I use the push mower in our ditches.

Good thing the canal didn't have some Gators hanging out just waiting for a guy mowing the lawn to somehow plunge in.
