Does anyone remember a gag/urban legand revolving around a class essay?

Some years back I remember something (general gag or urban legend) regarding an class project where a guy and girl took turns writing a story.

The story involves a space ranger and his lover / one night stand (depending on the gender of the respective writer) and eventually falls apart and ends up with the "authors" writing insults at each other into the essay.

I've never been able to locate this item since I first came upon it years ago and was wondering if anyone knew the source or what I could find another version of it.
