Anyone Else Here a Frankie Laine Fan?
Edited on Wed Feb-07-07 09:29 AM by leftyladyfrommo
I've got to say I loved his songs. Rawhide, Three Ten to Yuma, Cry of the Wild Goose. I know all the words.

Frankie Lane died yesterday I guess. He was 93.

Thankyou Frankie. For all the great memories. All the great songs.

RIP

2. Jeez. Even Blazzing Sadles is old now.
He also did Mule Train. I guess he even had a TV show back in the 50's. I don't remember that at all.

4. I've always been a big fan of his.
In fact, I am old enough to remember when all of his songs first came out.

went crazy over it. But I just like the cowboy stuff.

Wasn't Mule Train a show? A movie? I think it was a TV show that we watched in black and white probably during the 50's.

Was that the one with Borax? And Ronnie Reagan was the narrator. Or was that another one?

6. His obituary.

Note the funny story about Laine's straightforward reading of the theme song to Blazing Saddles.
