1. I've got every Kinks album on CD, but I voted Van Halen.
Both versions really good, but the opening riffs of the Van Halen remake actually do improve a bit on the original.

2. Never heard the Oingo Boingo version
But as much as I love the early Oingo Boingo stuff, I doubt it could touch the VH version.

Ray Davies wrote that song, but Dave & Eddie OWN it.

3. The Van Halen version was pointless.
They added nothing to the song but some annoying shrieks. Like most of their songs, skillful guitar playing is completely wasted due to a lack of creativity or originality.
