1. My Dr's scale
weighs me 5lbs heavier than the one at home but it is consistent.

2. No, because
I weigh myself at home on the first of the month at 7:00 in the morning with the same clothes on and on the same scale. Even if my scale is not accurate (and I think it is) it will give me a weight trend (up or down.) I'd rather a "foreign" scale's reading not throw a wrench into my anally retentive psyche.

5. I don't need to.
When the nurse asks, "Would you like to step on the scale?" I say, "No, thank you. I weighed myself this morning and I weigh xxx pounds." She thanks me and writes it down. It's easier on everyone that way.

6. It lies
I track my weight pretty carefully, but always do it in the AM without clothes. After breakfast, lunch a couple of glasses of water and clothers its usually at least 5# more at the doctors

7. I don't
Part of my recovery from an eating disorder includes not being obsessed with the numbers. I let the doctor weigh me and ask them to not tell me other than to say whether my weight is stable. I generally fluctuate at a healthy weight with a 10 lb range and I've learned to live with that and not be nuts about what the exact numbers are. Life is MUCH better this way.

10. I always look....
:) It doesn't bother me as long as it's not several pounds higher than the last time I was there...
