HO-leee... okay, on Saturday night, my aunt went to hospital
Today, they put a Pacemaker in her.

Tomorrow, she goes home.

They don't mess around.

1. A pacemaker is not a big deal these days.....
It's a pretty straight-forward sort of thing......

Very reliable....

I'm sure she'll be fine.........

4. My MIL got one about 9 months ago, and she's doing just fine.
She had started feeling faint, light-headed, etc. They discovered that her heart was not pumping as much blood as it should, so they gave her a pacemaker, and she's been absolutely fine ever since.

5. Wow. That is fast.
When you go in to have a baby, they're practically shoving you out the door before the baby is even out! You have to cut the cord on the way out the door!

6. I'm imagining a screamingly funny comic about that
drawn by Don Martin, late of MAD.

Something along these lines:

8. I know a man who went home 4 days after bypass surgery
He was out and about in a week! He totally amazed me.

I had my gall bladder out (laproscopic) and a liver biopsy and I couldn't walk for a week.

Hope she recuperates quickly! :hi:
