What's cookin today for Super Sunday?
We're going to have a generous pot of Jambalaya for our entree.

Snacks will include -- bread bowl dill dip, shrimp, chips and fresh salsa

No alcohol -- I will not be a loss of productivity statistic tomorrow!

1. Lots of beer
And we'll probably have chips and homemade bean dip and some pizza. Maybe some shrimp cocktail, too. That sounds good.

I work 3rd shift so I will have plenty of time to sleep off a hangover.

2. I used to do a lot of partying on Super Bowl Sunday
....before I started teaching. I can't do hangovers and be my best in the classroom. So, I will be drinking seltzer.

Your menu sounds yummy!:hi:

4. I love homemade pizza.
My daughter had a boyfriend who's father made the BEST pizza. It was a recipe from his very Italian mother. The sauce was sweet and had diced onions in it. On the occasions when he would make it -- he made enough for an army. Super Bowl Sunday was one of the special occasions where he would hit the kitchen.

Now I want homemade pizza, instead of Jambalaya.
:-(

6. I'm making a pot of chili, baked ziti, and two batches of hummus.
In fact, the hummus is made - both regular and roasted red pepper.

One of my guests is bringing veggie chili.

Another guest is bringing the sweets. :9

9. The roasted red pepper hummus sounds awesome!
I love hummus! What do you do grind up chick peas, olive oil, and then add whatever accompaniments you want?

11. Pretty much
The regular gets chick peas, garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, parsley, tahini (sesame paste), salt and pepper.

The red pepper gets the same, only no parsley and add the red peppers for the tahini.

I want to use roasted garlic for a batch one of these days - that would be yummy.

26. Really?
I work at a parochial school, and sometimes our priest will give us his birthday off, or we'll get a holy day off, but he's never stepped up for the Super Bowl. That's great!

27. No big food for me this year. . .
Probably some brownies and some bagel bites . . .

I'm watching the superbowl solo this year.. on my bed. . with a pitcher of ice tea whenever I'm thirsty . .

That's all I need.
