Who else isn't going to watch the StupidBowl tomorrow?
I haven't seen one in twenty or more years. I see no reason to start now.

5. I'm gonna watch it with my dad.
It's awful rare that we get to sit down together for 5 hours.

I'm really looking forward to it, and the food.

11. I've never seen one
I don't even know who's playing, nor do I care. I plan to work on a translation assignment and later attend a reunion potluck for the people I went to England with.

(BTW, not caring about the Super Bowl is an attractive quality in a man. It shows that he's not vulnerable to relentless commercial hype.)

20. I think it's an attractive quality
because I don't want a man who sits around and watches sports or much of anything on t.v. My man is going to have to read, or make music, or make good conversation.

15. I've never actually sat through an entire Super Bowl.
:hi: I'm not a football fan, and the only thing I care about are the funny commercials aired during the Super Bowl. But I'm not gonna sit through something I don't enjoy just so I can see them. I'll find them on the Internet later. :P

The good thing is that my husband feels the same way I do. :) We usually go out to dinner during Super Bowl time, because no one's in the restaurants! :P

21. "The Queen" is playing at the local cine. I may do that.
Or watch Puppy Bowl. Of course, I always thnk about the time I missed the wardrobe malfunction, and it was all anyone could talk about.

I still think I'll go to the movie.

Thinking of taping the game, so I can fast forward through it and watch all the commercials later. Did that a couple of years, works great!

I'll probably go out and run errands while it's on--there's usually less traffic on the roadways 'round here.

25. Not here.
Haven't seen one since the eighties, and never had the patience to watch a whole one.

Oops. Forgot that one in Army Basic Training, when Strom Thurmond showed up to wish us all well. I saw about an hour of it, as I recall; it beat getting shouted at.

Normally I would. But this one is kind of like a repuke primary: the Dolts, who abandoned a real football city (in which I grew up) for no reason, vs. Da Bears, who ruined it for a city where it really mattered (and in which I once lived). And like any other repuke primary, I'll sit it out. :puke:

edit: Too many parens. Too few (0) real teams. :(

36. I really hate football....
Fortunately, my DH is so indifferent to televised sports that the Superbowl is the only football game that he does sometimes watch. At least for a little while. I think he just wants to see the commercials.

I do want to see Prince, but Mr. Z. has already suggested we go to the movies to see Pan's Labyrinth.

38. That's the "Stupor Bowl"
I hate spectator sports!!! Busting ass for fun/exercise is one thing, sitting on your ass rooting for overpaid jocks as an exercise in groupthink is another.

Football is America's civil religion.
