4. To quote my hubby:
"It's slicker than snot out there." :)

I think it's already turning to ice underneath. We're in the upper teens here in Harrison right now, not supposed to get above freezing until Saturday.

We need a good freeze. I'm tired of dealing with fleas and ticks - it's freakin' winter for chrissakes!

5. Oh, that robin looks cold!
We are seeing the first of the migrating robins near Sacramento, California. They stop to eat berries from the bushes, then they and their other bird friends produce much purple poop all over the sidewalk and our cars. Later, as the berries get overripe and ferment, the birds get drunk, and unfortunately, some drop out of the trees, dead from alcohol poisoning.

7. Yeah...he does...
I just don't know how he got soooooo fat. I never see birds that big around here. Not to mention the fact that there isn't just a whole lot to eat around here.

9. They are on the crabapple trees here...have been for 3, almost 4 weeks
Central Ohio...GOBS of them, all fat and puffed up and freezing...flocks of males only.

They never come in this early...our actual observation shows they never really left...grround temps here a most of the winter until this week allowed for worming and bug catching, so the frost line never crept up here until this past week.

Now they are stripping the fruit from trees that should go toward feeding the ones that migrate back up in February...methinks there will be a decline in the male robin population this year due to starvation.

I got apples, oranges, bread and fruit everywhere outside trying to help.

16. I've always noticed a lot coming through here in late February, this is early...
We've had high 50o temps and sunny days, the daffodils are starting to bloom. We need rain, but I hope it doesn't all come when the nut and some fruit trees are blooming. Oh, the California citrus and avocados! :scared:(cold)

14. It's kinda funny that you feel that way...
We WANT to move somewhere where there is snow.

Hubby keeps talking about moving me off to Chicago or something. Anywhere where they get more than a smattering of snow. LOL.

Wanna switch places?

17. Nah
I'm a NE girl at heart. It's just where I live we get extra loads of snow thanks to Lake Ontario. Hehe. I could never take the Southern heat. I'd probably wither away. ;)
