I'm so cool I can hardly stand it.
Last night I had to teach class for the first time (I'm a sort-of T.A. for a Mass Comm class). Before it was time to get up in front of everyone, I dribbled capuccino all over the front of my (lavender) shirt, and somehow managed to get one nickel-sized, circular brown spot DIRECTLY over the nipple area of one boob. I also called a kid named Brett, "Breck".

At least I didn't sweat profusely or belch.

1. Tres geek
congratulations on surviving teaching.

I was a TA for a while. Intellectual servitude. Great fun.

3. It's not bad.
My professor's very cool, and I'm doing a related directed-study for the class, so I get to knock off six credits for a reasonable amount of work. If I can just minimize the degree to which I embarrass myself, I'll be happy!

4. If I could really do that, I would save myself SO much on coffee.
Alas, my jugs are barren.

5. Well, at least you didn't inadvertently invade a country on false pretenses...
No need crying over spilled Cawfee, LaraMN. (Unless, of course, it was an expensive
one from one of those specialty shops)

Congratulations on surviving your teaching gig!

:D

6. I think that's on the syllabus for March.
Next week I'm planning to taser the students who won't talk.

9. Great teaching tools, I wish we had tasers ...
... back when I was a TA. We just had chalk-loaded erasers.

Does chalk still exist? Or has it gone the way of the eight-track?

11. Last time I was in a class room they had moved toward 'white boards'...
Those foam erasers just don't have the heft of a chalkboard eraser.

10. congrats though on getting thru it.
i teach religous ed once a week and this week i had to teach 39 kids with some parents and members of the religious ed board observing. i had to try really hard not to be as irreverant as i usually am (i try to make religion fun for the kids because i really feel god wants us to have some kind of fun. one week i made the kids to do a wave for jesus as if they were at the sermon on the mount and wanted to show their appreciation)
