Ever have a crush on a movie character?
I'm not talking about the actor or actress playing the role, I mean the actual character. When I was younger, I had a massive crush on Luke Skywalker. Now, after seeing "Brokeback Mountain," I find myself totally enamored of this gentleman:

I need help. LOL

4. oh me too.
in the movie maurice with hugh what's his name -- a lad -- dark curly haired who really catches my fancy.

he climbs in a bedroom window to initially visit what will become his paramour.

the young man he visits is very much of a ''better'' class{the movie is about both gayness and class}.

this youn lad is very rough around the edges -- and very, very passionate and uninhibited -- gives me the shivers.

That scene in Maurice is one of the most romantic on screen. I'm straight and still lined up in Manhattan to see that movie when it opened. Saw it in a packed theater.

35. Jennifer Connelly's character from Waking the Dead
Edited on Mon Jan-29-07 03:17 PM by Radical Activist
Sarah Williams was the character, a 70's activist who worked with the poor and against oppression in Chile. She is about as close to my ideal woman as any character I've seen on screen both in personality and appearance. The writer said of the character:

"Basically, Sarah was the girl who I was in love with as a kid. I was born in '61, so I was 8, 9, 10, 11 during this time period. And those were the girls that I would look at and say, "One day, I wanna be with a woman like that, somebody who is passionate, committed, sexy, independent." They were the ones that I always looked up at. So I think it brought back that kind of romanticism."

Since other people have included crushes from TV shows, I’ll include them as well. I won't even begin to list the ones I have from made-for-TV movies

(1) Dana Barrett –From the “Ghostbusters” movies. She was a major crush of mine from about the time I was seven onwards and in fact the first crush on a woman I had
(2) Nancy Taylor –Bill Murray’s brief love interest from “Groundhog Day”
(3) Joyce Summers from “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”
(4) Jackie Lemancyzk from “The Rainmaker). Actually almost every character that Virginia Madsen portrays, I have a crush on
(5) Jackie Harrison -The mother from “Stepmom”
(6) Meg Ryan characters in numerous movies
(7) A number of characters that the actress Lisa Banes portrays. The same goes for Veronica Hamel's characters and Marilu Henner's characters
(8) Andrea Wyatt, Toby Ziegler’s ex-wife on “The West Wing”
(9) CJ Cregg from the same show
(10) Liz from the Australian TV sitcom "Mother and Son"
(11) Jennifer Grey's character (Baby) from "Dirty Dancing"

I think I'll stop now

I missed the "Who are they?" part. There are two many to list, but here are a few.

Corwin, from the Amber series.
The main guy in Eden Close ( I can't think of his name right now.)
Lucas Davanport from the pray series. Also Kidd in Sandford other series. (I know that is junk reading, but it's good junk.)

edit I can't spell.

Yeah, I know it was really just a cameo in the movies, so I guess it would have to be from the novels and the comic books that it developed.

I Know everybody hated the film, but I just saw it last week on cable and I was surprised by how much I liked it. Kirsten Dunst's role was the best out of every woman I dated in my 20's, without the Blue Velvet-like drama attached:) She really never did anything for me at all, but she was a little twisted in her role, which I loved..
