Who else is thawing out this morning?
Brrrrr....It's freakin' COLD here this morning! It went down to 15 F last night with howling winds. Wind chills were between 3 and 9 F... and it's 18 and very windy right now. :yoiks:

I just turned the radiator on full blast in my office, and it feels wonderful!

9. It's 3 degrees here,
but we are projected to hit a whopping high of 12 degrees, later in the day.
My hands are like ice, and no amount of clothing layers will warm me up!
I hate winter.

25. I know a whole lot of people around here who gain about ten pounds or so
every winter (and then drop it over the summer). My kids seem to pack on a bit, as well. Besides being less active in the winter, I swear our bodies try to compensate for our environment.

18. It was 3 here earlier
or so they said on TV. The snow made that sharp crunchy sound like it does when it's cold. That was at 6:30am. It's already warmed up to 20, with sun. Now, where'd I put those golf clubs?...

26. I am avoiding going outside, as much as possible.
I had to go out to bring my son to school, I have to go pick him up, and I have to leave for the evening, but I'm running NO other errands today.

32. Steam is a greenhouse gas ...
and the more you use, the more you contribute to global warming. It just ain't green. It's like incandescent light bulbs, ya know?

On the other hand, my little part of the globe could use a little warming today. Sounds like yours could too.

:)

21. Blowing through my door
My radiator is located in the bathroom. But he wind coming through the door frame showed the warm air back. The previous tenant left a pulli in the closet, so I've cut it up and shoved it around the door frame breeze. It helped other nights, but not last night. I piled on all my blankets, and wondered if I ought to pull my sleeping bag out.

And of course, I dressed for deep space to bike to work. The wind was behind me, so it wasn't too bad.
