31. you think I'd cover up *this* hair with a hat?

Not a chance! BTW: I'll be 44 in 3 weeks.. not bald, no gray hair either. My dad will be 69 this year and my maternal grandfather will be 90... neither of them are bald (this gives me hope for the future), although grandpa has some silver going on in his hair. I wear my ponytail proudly!

49. you have a gorgeous head of hair--
i am talking about the men who hanging on to the last vestige of a few sparse hairs. i just think one should accentuate the positive.

truly, i should not be responding in this right now. i just dumped a guy who happens to have a pitiful little piece of shit ponytail. he wears a crocodile dundee hat to cover up his bald pate.

why not be proud of his baldness like you are proud of your gorgeous head od hair?

really...let him in go in peace...just god please let him lose my phone number

you look great although i see some sadness around the eyes and mouth. i hope you find happiness my friend.

64. well thank you!
If I ever go bald, I'd shave it all off and sport a shiney bald head... until then, I'll keep my long hair.

You wouldn't believe the women (strangers) who come up to me in the grocery store and run their fingers through my hair and say " I wish I had hair like this!"

Oh, and that's not sadness around my eyes.. that's tiredness... lack of sleep.. I'm lucky to get 4 hours a night. Owning my own restaurant, and working 7 days a week, 12 - 16 hours a day will do that to you quick!

2. I think a person should wear their hair
exactly as they want. My husband is going to grow his hair back out after the job search is over. I can't wait! But, if he wanted to keep it short because it's less of a hassle that would be fine, too. It's all about personal style.

9. Don't feel bad about that.
When people show you exactly who they are you can see where the personal style comes in. It looks good on some men and not on others. I just think they should wear it they way they want. It's like a signpost. Only, sometimes you don't see the sign until after you have turned around on the road coming back the other way.

(bad of me, i know but, really the man was SO obtuse it was all he understands). i knew if if i

pushed hard enough he would hang up on me and he did.:grr: i quickly sent him a one line e-mail:

and then put him on block. so far he has not rung my number(thank whomever you hold holy) and he

7. I wear one.
Never meant to make a fashion statement or anything. I just hate haircuts, and since I'm bald, I just don't think of it except in the morning when I get out of the shower. When I talk about cutting my hair short, my kids get upset, so it isn't worth the effort.

Never understood why people are analyzed or judged by their hair or dress. Maybe that's why I don't like haircuts--people make a big deal out of looks, and it just bothers me.

I guess he is an extremely old hippie. About 7:30 this morning, I saw him walking down the street to buy his daily newspaper. It had snowed very lightly and nothing was shoveled yet. Just Art and his cane out for the daily constitutional.

20. I've been going back and forth on that
I am VERY thin on top but the sides are just fine. I am thinking about just trimming it down to 1/8 or 3/16 just because shaved sounds like a lot of work and I just don't like that. I teach, and I have a weigh loss goal that if I make, I will trim down very short right at the end of school so that I can grow it out over the summer if I don't like it. Your thoughts?

If someone likes it, and feels comfortable with it, then more power to them. It's boring to see everyone try and imitate the same look.

32. Used to have hair half way down my back. A ponytail or a
braid was essential in the summer.

I'm now balding on top, sixty two and just don't feel like being bothered with dealing what is left of my hair. I went short hair when I carried mail. Walking ten miles a day in all kinds of weather makes short hair a virtue. My hair was multicolored, everything from black to Auburn, strawberry blonde, blonde, and silver. It was very thick. My hair turned silver from the chin up. When I lost it, I didn't fret. I wear a hat, but not because of the balding. I've been a hat wearer since the early seventies.

When dad died of skin cancer, I took to wearing a hat in earnest.

Men in pony tails. It is all in how you wear it. If you wear it for fashion, it will be obvious. If you wear it in a pony tail to keep your hair out of the chain saw, it's OK.

Just because they're balding on top? The hair in back of the head doesn't stop growing. There are so few options for men, fashion-wise. I say go for it.

It looked as bad as it sounds.

Also, my brother, age 48, is now sporting long hair in a pony tail with a black dye job. Looks like shit, but looks even worse when he lets it hang loose. He thinks he's cool, I guess.

Having said that... there are some older guys who look good in a pony tail. Unfortunately, the others THINK it looks good on them.

Yet too many people readily dislike those who look different just for the sake of it.

It may be dated, but that doesn't make it bad either. :)
