Today is my Daughter's eighteenth birthday
18 years ago at 3:34 in the morning she made her entrance into the world. And my exact thoughts then were how would she grow up. Today, when she got out of school she called me. Her first question was "Dad, where to I go to register to vote!" I could not have been more proud than to hear those words from her. Not, when are we having a party, or did you remember my birthday, just simply where do I go to register to vote.

She is a SUMA award winning 95.3 GPA student who doesn't have a single easy class, most are advanced studies. She holds down a part time job as a Hostess/Server at the local Friday's, and finds time to be President of her school's GSA and Psychology club. She doesn't smoke or do drugs. She works out 4 days a week at the local gym and can kick my wrinkled old ass. She has so many choices ahead of her, I just hope they are in her best interest.

I am just so proud of her. She is a parent's dream.

15. Mom helped A LOT, I didn't do it alone ROFLOL
Her Mom had a lot of influence too, very good influence. She was always there (as Mom's are) when 'ole Dad was working. And she made sure the projecs were done and the lunch bag was full.

24. She is our only model, so I guess we done good
She is "to blame" for being a great kid. She decided that it was more fun to succeed than be "a slacker" (her words). But I would have loved her even if she had been "a slacker".Plus she is so much smarter than her Mom and I. It's a scary smart. Oh, and her test scores (SAT) were insane so we won't go there. She claimed it was hard even though she finished early.

It had to be from when I partied my ass off in the 60's and 70's. Yeah, that's the ticket.

And to you and your wife.

My mother registered me to vote on my 18th birthday. They took a photo and put it in the paper. I still have it someplace.
