10. also some lies are necessary, anyone who says they live without lying
is lying.

i for instance need to lie for my job all the time. its a job requirement.

i lie to my father to spare him a lot of pain (he is bipolar and i dont like pushing him over the edge)

etc

as for the hurtful lies that aren't neccessary, I would categorize that in the cruel category anyway. You're right though, lying is something we have all done.

Edited on Thu Jan-25-07 03:33 PM by Evoman
Honestly, it bothers me when people can't control their emotions, and literally fall apart, get angry, or start crying, at little things that others would shrug off. It also bothers me when people I don't know start telling me all their feelings about everything.

Also drama queen performances.

If you'll lie, you'll cheat

If you'll steal, you'll kill

"If you'll steal, you'll kill" part. That's just too much of a jump for me to buy it. I've never known a single person in my life who didn't steal something at one time or another. Does that make us all murderers-in-waiting?

55. Chill. It's just an old saying
It really is. I was at a training once, and the African American presenter was talking about values in the AA community. He talked about the lessons parents teach their kids. When he started to quote this saying, other African Americans in the audience were finishing his sentence for him. At least in this part of the country, it's what parents say to their kids.
