Why doesn't TeenMidlo believe a thing I say?

I emailed her chorus teacher today to ask what time they were performing on Saturday. I simply adore her chorus teacher. She's young, cute and incredibly enthusiastic and the fact that she loves TM doesn't hurt, either.

So's she two floors down and starts to IM me about her day, etc., She wants to know what I said in the email and I replied that I told her teacher that she was a stupid fuck who didn't know a half note from a whole note.

She says to me: Mom, seriously, what did you say?

Where have I gone wrong?
