So, I walk everywhere. I have no car, and I prefer to walk instead of taking the bus. The problem is...I KEEP GETTING ALMOST FUCKING KILLED. In the last two years, I swear I have almost been run over 9 or 10 times. Usually, its because the asshole in his car is talking on the cell phone. Take today as an example.

I was walking to the university this morning. At one point, I cross a four way stop (or as cell phone user calle it, "four way stop Evomans life"). So when I get to the corner, one of the drivers went, and everybody else was stopped. Good..now, its my turn to cross, because pedestrians have the right of way. All of a sudden this driver gets to the four way, doesn't stop (luckily, all the other cars had stopped because of my crossing, or there would have been an accident), runs the stop sign, and comes barrelling towards me. I DIVED out of the way, banging myself up and the fucker keeps going. HE DIDN'T EVEN SEE ME. I had just enough time, as he came towards me, to see he was on his cell phone, and I caught one letter off his license plate when he drove away.

I am actually lucky he didn't stop...if he did, I would have torn him out of his car, broken his phone in half, stuffing one half of his phone down his fucking throat, and the other up his almost manslaughtering asshole.

I am sick and tired of almost getting killed, man. One time I actually twisted my ankle after one of these dorks turned right on the red light without checking if someone was crossing.

1. Years of walking in Boston gave me great survival instincts.
Right-on-red and cell phones have really increased the riskiness of being a pedestrian. It stinks that a simple walk has now become a game of dodge'm.
