12:35 EST - I have applied the ActivOn to where it hurts
My left foot

Ankle to be precise

I totally wiped out on my run this morning. Headlights from an SUV blinded me and I moved to my left to get off the road (neighborhood road-I overreacted) next thing I know I feel my ankle rolling over on the edge of the road and down I went. Skinned up my knee bad too but my ankle just started killing me at about 9 AM. Yes they did stop to see if I was all right and Yes I did finish the last mile or so of the run.

Wow 3 minutes in I can feel much less pain.

1. Sorry about your ankle, underpants...
I've had that happen, it sucks bigtime.
Glad to hear the ActivOn is working though. I use the HeadOn all the time, it's great.

 for your ankle.

2. Ouch!
Glad it wasn't anything more serious. And, in my opinion, you can't be too careful when avoiding an SUV while jogging.

3. I have no idea why I did that
Cars go by all the time-well not really I might see one car every other day given that I run at 5 AM- but this one stupid time I screwed up.

This is my one great downfall of losing weight- I loose my balance completely. Way back in the day when I was in really great shape I was know to trip and fall over walking across the living room. Seriously.

4. I once tripped in front of some of my husband's relatives...
...just walking down a cobblestone road (it was in Germany). Since I used to be a downhill skier, I knew how to tuck and roll, and did just that (rather than risk a head injury). It was terribly embarassing. One of his cousins exclaimed, "YOU LOOKED LIKE A STUNT WOMAN!"
Luckily, I escaped with only a bruised ego..and hip. That was 10 years ago, and to this day I walk very slowly and very carefully on any uneven surface.

5. ONE HOUR LATER-working pretty well
I have to say that most of the pain is gone (still hurts a bit). I see now that I bought the arthritis stuff  oh well it works.

My ankle is popping and cracking now which is usually a good sign.

10. Historically yes
if I can move it enough to hear popping and cracky (it always does that) then I have at least more movement than I did have.

6. I need that for my butt cheeks!
Sitting on a hard seat for 3-4 hours in my night classes is killing me!

7. I broke my ankle slipping off a wooden clog when I was in college
I am the ultimate klutz. And now I have a balance order to make it worse; my left inner ear was removed 16 years ago. One balance nerve has to do the job for two.

On the other hand, I can be very entertaining. Especially when I walk into the wall. So there's a silver lining

12. I was wearing a pair of cloggish type shoes last night and slipped off one of them
I was also leading a meeting as the new Chair of my local Democratic Party, so needless to say I was less than thrilled at how my first meeting went.
