I've been a member since right before the 2004 election and I FINALLY see the dynamic between GD, GD Politics and the Lounge. Plus, I'm even beginning to figure out the DU personalities of many of those around here.

I spend a good 4 hours a day on DU and I can't imagine life without it; and the Lounge is definitely the best place to let the shitstorms of GD and GD Politics fade away.

So, I may not know all of you and may not have interacted with all of you but as a whole, I really fuckin' like this place:)

Therefore, I'd like to formally introduce myself to everyone here and offer a toast to the 2006 elections and the progress we've all made since those dark days (beginning in 2002 for me, as I am more of an independent and voted for Nader in 2000...don't kill me!)
