Funky hypnofact of the day:
Today is 17 January 2007

Sadly, that's not the fact. :(
:yoiks:

Frank Gorshin was nominated for an Emmy Award in the 3rd season classic episode of "Star Trek" entitled "Let That Be Your Last Battlefield". He did not win. Many believe he lost solely because the stigma associated with science fiction at the time (1968) prevented actors from being considered. (the fact Gorshin got a nomination alone is a high achievement given the sci-fi program hosting his sublime performance, and his performance in the episode is - to say the very least - exceptional and chilling. it is a shame he did not win.)

(Do note: Star Trek got its first emmy in the 1968 classic "The Tholian Web" for 'best special effects'. Which were remarkably good for the time and were provided by Van DerVeer Effects... I wonder what happened to them...)
