14 Women - All That Power
I just saw an ad for some interview with all the female Senators and Diane Sawyer. That was the tag line - "14 Women - All that power!" DUH!
How about an interview with male senators - "86 men - all that power!"

Are we supposed to be impressed because after 230 years we have 14 female senators? Big whoop!

1. A pooly chosen tag line it seems.
I don't think we're supposed to be impressed, but perhaps we can find solace in the fact that this (unless I am mistaken) is the most female senators there has ever been at any one time. We can only hope that the trend will grow faster.

2. Kinda like
all the Nancy Pelosi hype. First woman, Speaker of the House, grandmother of six. How how often do you hear men in power introduced like that?.
