ERIN, Tenn. (AP) -- The Erin police chief is accused of stealing from a charity and possessing pornographic material on his work computer.

Chief Tommy Parchman showed up to work Monday morning and found the locks to his office had been changed.

The 10-year veteran chief said the accusations are a surprise to him, and he believes they are politically motivated.

WSMV TV reported that fellow officers found pictures of nude women and inappropriate e-mails on his computer.

He's also accused of stealing Toys for Tots donations to buy personal items.

Parchman was scheduled to meet with Erin Mayor Cecil Baggett Tuesday.
