8. At the moment? Never

When I actually get my ass motivated to do it? Umm, a couple times a week. I have this one tape I like a lot that's two parts. One part is centered on the top half, and the other part in centered on the bottom half. So I'll just do one or the other, unless I'm really ambitious, then I'll do the whole things. That's a good workout.

2. I've taken classes
and have a couple of videos. I'm not particularly good yet, but I love it; it is a beautiful art form and an extremely good form of exercise.

3. I know, it looks very sensual.
I'm serious, I want to try it. These ladies were part of a class here in Sarasota.

Of course, my sib and I were tooooootally embarrassed that our mom belly danced! ... "Moooom, DO NOT tell our friends you're a belly dancer!"

5. I've thought of trying it
I did Polynesian when I was a kid, and I loved that. I think they might be similar.

12. I started lessons in 1990
and still take lessons as well as teach and perform. I absolutely love it!! I have made many friends, and have learned a lot about myself in the process.

Going to class is one of my favorite "me" times - no stress of job, family, or bills! It is all about what I want for an hour or two a week. Like a mini-vacation!

I have found that most of the students and teachers are very supportive of everyone's abilities and learning styles.

It has given me confidence as well as a very creative outlet -- besides dancing, I do alot of my own costuming.

There are seminars, and events happening all around the US -- most with GREAT shopping!! If you want more info, let me know!

Welcome to the Sisterhood of Dance!!!

16. I forgot to mention.....
Not all teachers are appropriate for all students. If you have a teacher and she is ok, but after awhile class isn't fun and you are not enjoying it like you think you should...it might be the instructor and/or her teaching style...don't give up -- find another teacher! BUT, giver her at least 8 - 12 lessons before moving on. Most lessons are one hour per week, and it is hard to tell what the instructor is truly like after 3 or 4 lessons.

When I moved to Dallas it took me 3 tries before I found someone I was compatible with -- which was hard, because I lucked out in Winston and my first teacher was great and I stayed with her before I moved back to Texas.

Feel free to PM if you have questions!
