Chihuahua parents and admirers! Listen up.....about Plain Yogurt and DA'Squirts!

I've been reading about giving Chi-hua-huas plain yogurt when they have the squirts...but I was very concerned that it would cause more squirts.

Well yesterday Mr. Sprinkles came down with a bout of the squirts. On the way home I picked up a plain yogurt and gave him a teaspoon mixed in his food and waited.

WELL...his poops have been SPLENDIDLY SOLID! He's gone poop twice and they were both nice well formed poops.

I'll keep you updated but I think this tip is a for sure keeper. By replacing the good bacteria in his intestines he seems to have thrived nearly 24 hrs later and hopefully his stomach won't be as sensitive. Mr. Sprinkles is a 3lb 6.5 month old pup and his bowels are extremely sensitive and he gets the squirts at least once a week. I think I'll give him now a 1/2 teaspoon every other day for a week and hopefully that will settle things down and he can enjoy a treat without the squirts.
