Medical marijuana patients, check in!
Tell us when you became one, what state you're in, and your malady, plus any thoughts you want to share.

I became one in August of last year, after learning from my doctor that the only reason I currently *don't* have glaucoma is because I've enjoyed the beneficial herb for the past five years, since shortly after my optometrist found I had very high pressure in my corneas.

I've found that it both helps my eyes and my insomnia problem, and I'm very glad the state of California is compassionate enough to let me take my medicine, but I think it should be legal for all.

(My current favorite I/S strain is Grape Ape.)

4. Mmmmm, if I remember properly, being baked makes me randy.
And that's always nice.

8. They don't use it for "medical" per se
They usually use it for recreational reasons.

9. Who's "they"? Are you dismissing our medical use of this beneficial herb?
Or am I misreading your post?

I'm just telling you most Duer's don't use it for medical reasons. I drink alot of tea but not for the medical reasons, I drink it because I like it.

14. Oh, duh, most DUers - I thought you meant most patients.
Sorry, I just hear "medical marijuana is an end-run to legalization" crap a lot, I misinterpreted your statement.

My bad!

13. Just don't draw the ire of the feds
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_mcwilliams

A vocal supporter of medical cannabis due to being terminally ill with AIDS and cancer, McWilliams was investigated by the Federal Drug Enforcement Agency and convicted for violating federal marijuana laws, even though medical marijuana was legal under California state law.

I'm pretty sure it was the vocal part that pissed off the federal authorities.
