How do you get stale bread soft again?
I once heard something about putting it in the microwave, but for how long and what do I cover it with? I really, really want a tuna fish sandwich, but I absolutely hate stale bread!

3. Wrap in paper towel & nuke for 15 sec.
That might do it.
I like the tuna-on-toast idea better.

It worked! Thank you, trof! I'll think of you while I'm munching.

11. Lynne Rosetto Kasper (Splendid Table) talked about this Sunday
She said to put it in a plastic bag to conserve the moisture.

She also said that her GM used to put a little water on stale bread and then put it in the oven for a while.

I usually put it in the microwave.
