Finally, 5000 posts from the cranky one on a 70 degree winter day

I'm not a prolific poster, but in 7 posts I'll hit a personal landmark here. And now that we've finally taken back the House and Senate, I think the wait was worth it.

Oh, and I hope I make 10,000 by the time that stupid little frat boy dictator is hustled down the road to historical failure.

1. This morning...

I stood in front of Denville Hardware (I'm back working at the health food store) smoking a cigarette, wearing jeans & a t-shirt, and I was hot.

This is insane!

2. When I lived in DC

It had been 30 degrees and below for weeks. Then, on Jan 2, I stepped out of my townhouse all bundled up for the cold and it was 65 fucking degrees!

I couldn't believe it. I almost missed the subway because I had to go back in and change out of my winter layers.

3. I will stop in soon to say hello, it is a good place.

I stood on my front porch before and remembered the moment. Not in my lifetime do I remember a winters-day so grand. Neighbors al out wa;king their dogs, barbecues fired up.

4. Yeah, I work in the deli during the week until 3 or 4.

I'll be the young one with the baseball cap.

Yeah, I almost went ATVing today, but ended up on the phone. I'll definitely be tearing up the trails tommorow.

Winter? What's that?

My next-door neighbor was grilling last night on his porch; no surprise there. I haven't had one good cold day to get me in the "let's make chili" mood yet.

I'm sure you'll cruise right past 10,000 before next Inauguration Day. :)

Went to work this morning, just stood outside in the lot feeling the sun on my face. What a great day. Tomorrow cold, but to have no winter here to speak of has made it so much easier this season.
