1. It can be a decent supplement to an existing exercise routine, IF
you're limited on space/money, but can afford this additional thing. Safer than free-weights, if you're using it solo, too.

I'd go with a better Universal multi-station.

2. thanks for the info
I just see the commercials with these utterly incredibly ripped bodies flex their stuff, while the voiceover says "in only 20 minutes twice a week" or whatever. I'm thinking, "yeah, right."

3. Absolutely impossible
to obtain that sort of physique "in only 20 minutes twice a week"*

*genetics handed down from Greek Gods, a decent diuretic/steroid/ephedra cocktail, an active lifestyle and a diet of absolute perfection MIGHT get one there

9. It's been banned in doses over 10mg. In addition
supplement companies won't touch it because their insurance companies won't cover them if they do.

I have a HUGH!!!! stash, though.

4. I'll let you know...
my husband and I just got a used one for Christmas. It seems pretty nice, but we have hardly started. I had to order a manual for
instructions because the guy we bought it from lost his. It can't be any worse than doing nothing - which is what I've been doing up until now. :-)

5. I think it looks really interesting
I wonder if it's true that you benefit more because there is no rest period like there is with free weights. I'd like to have some kind of weight set again, like a weight bench, it just seems like most of them are made with an accent on the upper body, because they are marketed to men, and I need something with an accent on the lower body. I really enjoy doing leg exercises on a weight bench, and I completely thrashed my knee doing walking lunges about a month ago...I just don't know...

6. My knees are trashed.
I'm hoping I can get some exercise without hurting them...we'll see.

8. You left out $29 a month anytime at the gym is a better alternative
My daughter started a World gym membership last April as a gift from her Mom and I. She goes 3-4 times a week for an hour and could probably carry me on her shoulder for a mile while lifting the dog with the other hand, and she weighs 138 pounds.

Bowflex, now and forever the best device for aging rock star wannabees and Ebay.

11. I hate gyms.
I spend all day dealing with people. I'm not interested in fighting the crowd at the gym. They are also a great place to pick up colds and athlete's foot.
Yuch.

13. True enough.
I just don't like the whole gym experience. Period.

10. I wouldn't buy one, but the commercials can be rather a pleasant distraction.
