Stop what you're doing and run... don't walk... to The Good Shepherd.
Despite the negative user reviews on Yahoo! and IMDB, anyone who can sit still long enough and concentrate will throughly love this film. It is intelligent, classy and wonderfully directed. matt Damon is quite compelling as one of the first CIA agents. Mr. kt and I were riveted.

There are no explosions, no car chases and no cool 007 gadgets. This is a very realistic story and a terrifying look at the mess we're in right now with intelligence agents and those in the power elite thinking they are gods among men.

2. I was thinking of seeing it this weekend
But 160 minutes is a long movie! However, based on your recommendation, I am now strongly considering it. It's either that or "CHildren of Men."

Anyone know anything about that movie? It's gotten great reviews.

6. We use to go all the time to movies, then we realized how much money was spent on
films we hated and are now far more picky. So, if I paid money to see it and then recommend others do the same, I must really really really think highly of the film. :)

8. Hi Beef 'n' Cheese.
The main theatre in Bangor smells like urine. What's your excuse?

10. LMAO!

Well, my excuse is that I'm poor. :D

Though I'd like to get into Manhattan more often to see some indie, foreign and re-released movies. In fact, one theater is doing a Woody Allen retrospective now.

11. I can use that excuse too
although we're so backwards here the only films that are shown are the big blockbuster ones and I am rarely in a huge hurry to see one of those.

So, your promotion. I read somewhere you were being trained for it? Does that mean it's a done deal, or is it just a first step?

12. First step.
They didn't set a timetable, but I'll be going through some training very soon, so I'm estimating I'll get the promotion within at least six months or so, but it's all tentative now.

15. I will need to see it again on dvd..
A woman to my left sitting next to me, couldn't follow and kept asking questions
throughout the movie. I wanted to scream, but didn't. I put her on mental ignore,
pretending I was deaf in that ear, but couldn't benefit from the full impact of the movie
because of the intermittent distractions. <sigh>

will be looking forward to it on netflix..
