Does pepto-bismal actually work?

I'm having a little of what I think is heartburn, and my stomach is upset. I'm also feeling a little....loose in the Colin Bowels, if you get my drift.

ITs late, and all I have is some pep-bismal that I bought my gf a week ago. Does this stuff actually work?

1. I've heard people say it does. I've used it twice I think, don't remember whether

there were any changes drastic enough for me to say "gee, that worked well" - but it probably helped a bit.

I usually drink it right out of the bottle...about a bottle every two weeks. I have the worst case of nerves anyone can imagine, so I constantly have my "system" worked into a situation where "it" is not sure which way to escape my body. It just knows it wants out and if it has to split up and make a spectacle of itself, it will. My aunt, nor anyone else in my family for that matter, can stand the stuff, so it's all mine around here. I drink it like some of those people you meet who always keep a flask of "something to drink" in their coat pockets. Works for me.

It is the best over-the-counter drug I have taken for digestive problems.
If you are so sick that you will vommitt anything, you might vommitt from taking it. Other than that, the worst side effects are the darkening talked about in some of the other posts.
You could try it.
