Last time I felt/heard winds this intense here in LA was in January 2000. I'm afraid one of the heavy pool chairs is going to blow through my living room window, which faces north (I live in one of the way-retro 1950s courtyard buildings in Hollywood). :scared:

As a resident of Los Angeles, halfway down the Hollywood hills, I can tell you the winds were sustained at 25-30 tonight, gusting to 50-60. Local news confirmed it as well.
