I just realized something about that show MXC
Everything is a poop, pee, or genitalia joke. I don't know why I didn't notice it before. I've only seen it a few times.

2. is this weird Japanese
Game show on Spike Channel, but they dub over their voices, and its loaded with sexual innuendo, and frat humor...My wife loves this show, thank god its on late at night, otherwise she'd make me watch it everyday....

5. I'd never remember, I watch about 2 -3 hours of TV per month, even when the
shows I like are on.

6. It is pretty friggin' funny.
The contestants wear bicycle helmets and elbow pads. With that wardrobe you just know silliness will ensue. They get slammed around the "playing field" with crazy commentary. Hilarious.

8. There's something inherently fascinating about watching people injure themselves.
And they certainly do themselves some serious damage on that show.

Even with editing it down to 22 minutes/episode and removing the
nastiest parts for the USA audience, careful attention (and use
of my TIVO's pause/slo-mo feature) shows contestants who just HAD TO have
been carried off in ambulances, almost every episode.

I'd actually be surprised to learn that there haven't been any
deaths involved in making the original program (Takeshi's Castle).

Think about it:
You take a few thousand average Joes and Janes, and have them
take 12-foot headfirst tumbles into a pond 3 feet deep...
the Law of Averages says they don't all get up and walk away, y'know?
