I'm kind of new to the lounge, so I thought I'd say hi everyone to uh...break the ice, I guess. So hey, everybody. I usually post on the R/T forum, but decided to post here as well. Uhm...cause I wanted to.
So if you decide to reply to this and say hi, say a little bit about yourself.
I'll go first :)
I'm a 25-year-old teaching assistant from upstate/central new york working with emotionally disturbed children. I teach sunday school on the weekends and basically live in the middle of nowhere.
And that's me.

It's a short drive to the metropolis of Syracuse.

Lebanon, Kansas - now that's the middle of nowhere. 279 people and a fair drive to the small city of Salina. Plus, it's the geographical center of the lower 48 states.

30. So funny, I first joined DU in Feb of 2001 and the Lounge was an after thought.

They were thinking of shutting down the Lounge because they couldn't get enough participation. I think the Mods were Crewleader and SoCalDem? They use to beg for DUers to come to the Lounge. Oh forgive me.........Welcome to DU and the Lounge! :hi:
