Poll question: Is Philadelphia a Northeast city?
Edited on Wed Jan-03-07 11:41 AM by janesez
Sorry, this is a bit random, but I must settle an argument from another thread. Speedoo believes Philly is "Mid Atlantic". I was born and grew up here and we are Northeast according to our newscasts, our history, the way we refer to ourselves, everything.

So please weigh in, DU. Thanks!

2. you realized you phrased the question differently
Once you asked if it was a northeast city, and then you asked if it was an east coast city.

Hell... Savannah's an east coast city.

5. I changed it, my bad!
I fucked up. There were 2 votes on there when I changed it, so I will subtract two votes from whatever the final tally is. All right?

8. Look, man,
I have spent the last 10 minutes Googling regional maps of the US. I can't find a SINGLE ONE that doesn't list Pennsylvania in the Northeast. I don't know what to tell you! All I can say is you are incorrect! Apparently you have always believed something that simply isn't true. If you can find me one shred of evidence to say that Philly is not in the Northeast, I will be happy to entertain it. Otherwise, I can't keep arguing with you about this. It's simply a fact.

9. Everyone knows google is a RW propaganda arm.
Really, you need to stop your desperate dirty trickery.

Since when does a Northeast state elect a RWer like Santorum, even once?

And the Temps are a singing group, NOT a band!

Sheesh.

13. Philly is a Northeast city.
Whether it may also be a mid-Atlantic city is a different question but PA,NJ and NY combined with New England are all categorized at the Northeast region by residents of said states and by most outsiders.

16. It's mid-Atlantic, but also Northeast

The census bureau considers us Northeast (but doesn't include DE). I consider us Mid-Atlantic, along with NJ and DE

We're also "Foundry" (according to "Nine Nations")
